MEET THE CAST

 

 

Rosie:

Rosie is the star of Maurice Sendak’s original book, Really Rosie!  Her character is actually based on a little girl who lived in Sendak’s childhood NYC neighborhood, who held plays on her stoop all summer! Performed by Chiara, a 2rd grader and a dancer with Ms Marian for 5 years.

 

Joannie:

Johnnie is the character in our story who likes to COUNT!  She can count forward and backward and uses her friends to explain numbers and how they work together!  Performed by Addi, a Kindergartener and a dancer with Ms Marian since she was 1 year old!

Enchanted One:

Enchanted One is the character in our story who is BEST friends, but also, a RIVAL to Enchanted Two!  They share their tale of competition and friendship through cheerleading!  Performed by Amy, a 2nd grader and a dancer with Ms Marian for 4 years.

The Director:

The Director tells the Cast – or all the other characters played by Rosie’s friends -  where to stand or how to dance to help make Rosie’s dreams come to life.  Performed by Elizabeth, a 3rd grader and a dancer with Ms Marian for 6 years.

Chef Chicken Soup:

Chef Chicken Soup knows her months of the year!  She teaches her neighborhood friends a fun way to learn them by mixing imagination, stories and rhymes into a yummy song!

Performed by Leila, a 3rd grader and a dancer with Ms Marian for two years.

 

Alligator Annie:   

Alligator Annie is the character in our story who likes to say the ALPHABET!  She uses the ABCs to tell funny tales so that you can remember your letters easier! Performed by Moyna, a First grader and a dancer with Ms Marian for 2 years.

Enchanted Two:

Enchanted Two is best friends and, sometimes, rivals with Enchanted One!  They demonstrate the power and joy of teamwork.  Performed by Camille, a 2nd grader and a dancer with Ms Marian since she was 15 months old .
